PALM BAY, Fla. — Dale E. Reinard, 87, formerly of Warren, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 26, 1921, in Sigel, Pa., the son of the late John F. and the late Twila E. Shaffer Reinard.

Mr. Reinard was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1939 to 1943, serving during World War II. Dale was a P.O.W. in Germany for two years, and later re-enlisted with the United States Air Force, serving from 1943 to 1945.

He was employed by Wean United as a draftsman for 32 years, retiring in 1982. Dale was a member of First United Methodist Church in Warren and a member of Masonic Lodge, 32nd Degree Mason.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia G. Cook Reinard; one daughter, Randi (Jim) Miller of El Paso, Texas; two sons, Douglas (Tammie) Reinard of Cortland and Curtis (Jane) Reinard of Gahanna; three brothers, Gerald Reinard of Quincy, Fla., James Reinard of Sigel, Pa., and Robert Reinard of Oceanside, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Arrangements are being handled by Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel, where a private family service will be held Monday. Interment will be at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
